ABOUT THE ARTIST
Alain Jean (b. 1960) is a Belgian self-taught contemporary digital artist based in Brussels. His creative universe is built around permanent dualities—memory and actuality, presence and absence, life and death.
His artistic practice follows a profound inner impulse: to go beyond the visible surface to give a visual form to raw human emotion. Moving away from traditional photography, he creates digital matrices designed as vibrating mirrors. He does not seek to decorate or explain his work, but to spark an intimate encounter—creating a direct, visceral echo from one soul to another.
Refusing automated algorithms and artificial intelligence, Alain Jean claims an exclusively human-madeprocess. He sculpts his digital matrices manually through chaotic and sensitive intuition, adjusting up to twenty software sliders to a microscopic precision. This tactile craftsmanship creates a unique, non-reproducible visual experience.
To preserve the absolute purity of this emotional exchange, every artwork is created as a unique 1/1 original piece—never to be replicated, much like a traditional painting.
Alain Jean personally oversees the final execution of each piece, selecting bespoke frames that give an even deeper soul (feel more) to the artwork. Every creation is meticulously produced on ultra-high-end mediums by specialized fine-art laboratories, meeting the strictest international museum standards. Each original work is delivered with its official Certificate of Authenticity.
